English to Italian
English to Italian Translation
Italy work-visa paperwork drives real search demand in Pakistan, and this is the pair people ask for. It also comes with a complication no Pakistani translator can wish away, because Italy operates a sworn translator system and for several submissions a translation prepared here will not be accepted no matter how good it is.
What is English to Italian translation?
English to Italian translation converts documents into Italian for Italy work visa, nulla osta, and study applications. Translation starts from Rs. 2,500. Italy operates a sworn translator system through its courts, so some submissions require a traduzione giurata prepared in Italy. Confirm which your consulate requires before ordering, because a Pakistani certified translation cannot substitute for a sworn one.

Why this page starts with a caveat
Most pages selling a translation service do not open by telling you when they cannot help. This one does, because Italy is the destination where a Pakistani applicant is most likely to buy the wrong thing.
Italy operates a sworn translation system. A traduzione giurata is a translation sworn before an Italian court, and the translator’s oath is what gives it legal weight. Pakistan has no equivalent register. Where a submission requires a sworn translation, no Pakistani translation qualifies — ours included.
Some Italian submissions accept a certified translation with a statement of accuracy, which we can provide. Others require the sworn route. The difference is decided by the consulate or the receiving body, not by the translator, and it is worth one email to settle before you pay anyone.
Google’s own People Also Ask box on Pakistani translation searches asks whether Italian embassy-approved translation services exist in Islamabad. The honest answer is that “embassy-approved” is a specific status, and you should ask the embassy who holds it rather than trust a website that claims it.
Where translation fits in an Italy work-visa file
The sequence usually runs:
- Employer obtains nulla osta in Italy. This is on their side, not yours.
- You assemble your documents — degree, transcripts, police character certificate, birth certificate, and often employment history.
- Attestation on the originals. HEC for university documents, IBCC for matric and intermediate, then MOFA. See the MOFA attestation checklist.
- Italian consulate legalisation, where required.
- Translation, in the form the consulate specifies.
- Visa application.
Translation sits late, and for the same reason it does everywhere: attestation stamps go on the original, so a translation prepared earlier will not contain them.
What we translate into Italian
Degrees, transcripts, and DMCs. Police character certificates. NADRA birth and marriage certificates. Employment and experience letters. Bank and financial statements for proof of funds. Medical certificates.
Urdu-language documents are routed through English rather than translated directly into Italian, and we say so openly. For most official documents that is normal practice, but confirm it if your checklist specifies otherwise.
How we handle this pair honestly
Italian is a lower-volume pair for us than Arabic, English, and Urdu, and it is handled through a vetted collaborator rather than in house. That is why the rate is higher, from Rs. 2,500, and why we would rather tell you than let you assume we have an Italian desk.
What we bring is the same document discipline that applies to every pair: names transliterated to match your passport, layout preserved, stamps described in position, and an honest reading of your checklist before you commit.
What we do not bring is a sworn translator’s oath, an embassy approval, or the ability to make a consulate accept something it has decided not to accept.
Price and turnaround
From Rs. 2,500. Legal and financial documents are quoted individually. Because the pair runs through a collaborator, build in more time than you would for Arabic or Urdu, and ask before planning around urgent delivery. Full baseline rates for other pairs are on the pricing page.

For the certification question generally, what “certified translation” means to different authorities explains how to read your checklist and spot a sworn-translator requirement before you pay. Academic files are covered by educational document translation, and police clearance by police character certificate translation.

Frequently Asked Questions
Will an Italian consulate accept a translation done in Pakistan?
Sometimes, and sometimes not, and this is the question to settle before you spend anything. Italy operates a sworn translation system, traduzione giurata, where a translator swears the translation before an Italian court. Where that is required, no Pakistani translation qualifies, whoever produces it. Other submissions accept a certified translation. Ask the consulate for the exact wording and send it to us.
What is a traduzione giurata and can you provide one?
A sworn translation formally attested before an Italian court or before an Italian consulate authorised to do so. We cannot provide one, because Pakistan has no equivalent sworn-translator register and the oath has to be taken in the Italian system. If your checklist requires it, you need a translator in Italy, and we will tell you that rather than take the order.
What is nulla osta and where does translation fit?
Nulla osta is the clearance an Italian employer obtains before you can apply for a work visa. It is issued in Italy, on the employer's side, and translation of your documents generally comes afterwards for the visa application itself. Ask your employer or their agent when they need translated documents and in what form.
Does my degree need attestation before Italian translation?
Usually yes, and in that order. HEC attestation then MOFA attestation happen on the original, and translation comes after, so the stamps appear in the translation. Translating first is the most common way people pay twice. Our MOFA attestation checklist sets out the sequence.
What does English to Italian translation cost?
From Rs. 2,500, which is higher than our Arabic and Urdu rates because Italian is a lower-volume pair for us and handled through a vetted collaborator rather than in house. Legal documents are quoted individually. You get the figure before work starts.
Can you translate Urdu documents directly into Italian?
We route Urdu through English rather than translating Urdu to Italian directly, and we tell you that openly. For most official documents this is normal practice and acceptable, but confirm with the receiving authority if your checklist specifies a direct translation.
