What does Italian Embassy Islamabad and Italian employers require?
An Italy work visa from Pakistan starts with the employer obtaining nulla osta in Italy. Your documents then need attestation and, for many submissions, a traduzione giurata sworn before an Italian court, which no Pakistani translator can provide. The sequence

Two facts before you pay anyone
One: Italy runs a sworn translation system. A traduzione giurata is a translation sworn before an Italian court, and the oath is what gives it legal weight. Pakistan has no equivalent register. Where a submission requires it, no Pakistani translation qualifies — ours included.
Two: “embassy-approved” is a claim worth checking at the source. Search results for Italian translation in Islamabad are full of it. If that status exists for Italian in Pakistan, the embassy is the only reliable authority on who holds it. Ask them, not a website. We do not claim it, because we do not hold it.
Some Italian submissions accept a certified translation with a statement of accuracy. That we can provide. The difference is decided by the consulate, and one email settles it before you spend anything.
Where nulla osta actually sits
A common misunderstanding: nulla osta is not something you obtain.
Your Italian employer applies for the nulla osta — the clearance from the Italian authorities that permits your work visa application. It happens in Italy, on their side.
Your document preparation runs in parallel. Translation comes at the end of the attestation chain, not before nulla osta, and not before the stamps exist.
Apostille or attestation — pick one, not both
Italy is a party to the Hague Apostille Convention. That means an apostille can replace the longer country-by-country embassy attestation route rather than sitting on top of it.
They are alternatives. Whether the apostille route is open for your specific document depends on what MOFA issues for that document type. Confirm on mofa.gov.pk before choosing, because preparing the wrong one wastes the whole sequence.

Translate last
Attestation stamps go on the original document. A translation prepared before those stamps exist cannot contain them.
When the consulate places your translation next to the attested original, the endorsements they are checking for are present on one and absent from the other. At best you redo the translation. At worst the file is returned and an appointment is gone.
This is the most common Italy mistake we see, and it costs money rather than just time.

Can: certified English to Italian translation where the consulate accepts it, with names transliterated to match your passport, layout preserved, and stamps described in position.
Cannot: swear a translation before an Italian court, hold an embassy approval, perform attestation, or make a consulate accept something it has decided not to accept.

This is the single most common way Italy-bound applicants pay for the same translation twice.
My degree is in English already. Does it still need translating?
For Italy, usually yes, since the submission language is Italian. That is different from a UK or Canadian file, where an English degree often needs no translation at all. What it does not need is translating twice, so get the attestation done first.
