Why a walk-in office still matters

Most document translation now happens over WhatsApp, and that suits most clients. But there are cases where handing paper across a desk is genuinely better, and they come up often in Hazara:

• Faded or handwritten documents. An older Nikah Nama, a union council record, or a hand-completed board certificate is frequently unreadable in a phone photograph. In person we can see the original and tell you immediately whether a column is legible or has to be marked as such.
• Heavily stamped originals. Attestation stamps overlap text and reflect under flash. Seeing the document avoids guesswork.
• Printed and stamped output. Where a submission wants ink on paper rather than a PDF, collecting it locally is simpler than arranging a courier.
• Working out what is actually needed. Clients often arrive with a checklist they have not been able to interpret. That conversation is faster face to face, and it is where we catch people about to pay for a notarized translation when the checklist asked for a certified one.

Where translation fits before you travel

One thing worth knowing before you make the trip: if your documents need attestation, that happens on the original before translation, not after. Attestation stamps are applied to the source document, so a translation prepared beforehand will not show them and the receiving office will see a mismatch.

MOFA attestation is handled in Islamabad rather than in Abbottabad, so a Hazara client with a Gulf employment file usually completes the attestation chain first and translates afterwards. Rehmania Street runs off Javed Shaheed Road. One thing to know before you set off: Google Maps labels this street “Street 7”, not Rehmania Street, so typing the street name into Maps will not find it. Search for Jinnahabad, Abbottabad and follow our pin on Google Maps instead.

Before you visit

The office is open Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, and closed at weekends. Message us on WhatsApp first to say what you are bringing. It costs you one message and prevents the most common wasted trip, which is arriving without the passport or CNIC copies we need to spell names correctly.

Bring the original document, every page including reverse sides that carry stamps, identity documents for everyone named, and the checklist you were given. With those four things in hand we can usually quote and confirm the timeline on the spot.
